The Network Time manual was produced using Claris MacWrite Pro and uses the Times, Helvetica, Symbol and Apple Courier fonts for text and the ITC Zapf Dingbats font for bullets. It is intended that it be printed on an Apple LaserWriter or other PostScript printer on US Legal (8 1/2´´ X 14´´) paper in double-sided book form.
The manual contains 4 pages at the front (the title page and roman numbered pages ii–iv) and 36 additional pages, for a total of 40. So, the fifth page of the manual is actually numbered page 1. This is important for printing.
To print from MacWrite Pro, first print pages 1–20, specifying right-hand pages in the print dialog box. Then, on the flip side of those pages, print the left-hand (even numbered) pages 1–20, making sure that page 2 (roman numeral ii) ends up on the back of the title page right side up. Then, print right-hand pages 21–40, making sure that the first page prints on the same side as left-hand pages 1–20 in reverse order. (Page number 17 should print on the same side as page 16 and page 35 should print on the same side as page ii. ) Then, print left-hand pages 21–40, again in reverse order, opposite the odd-numbered pages, such that page 36 is on the same side with the title page and page 18 is on the same side with page 15.
If you have a printer that is able to print double-sided, first print pages 1–20, reverse the order of the sheets and then print pages 21–40 on the same paper.
